One day while buying fish at the local market for her family she realized that the price of the cod she was usually buying had tripled, now, while Jody was normally a pretty decent and calm (someone could  
even say shy) bear, this for some reason didn’t sit well with her sending her into a fit of rage that awakened something inside her, the ancient spirit of an entity that used to be worshipped a long time ago by her ancestors, conscious of her new strenght and power she decided she needed to join into the local arena and partcipate in the calisdankana championship a gruesome challenge where only women are allowed to partecipate, and the winner will be not only covered in riches but also gain a very influential spot with the nobility.  
So Jody joined with the goal in her mind to lower the price of food especially fish (a pretty simple goal but hey a goal is a goal nonetheless). :P
