Reference sheet for my pretty kitty gal, Amber! She’s always been one to dress in pretty things! I came up with her in 2003, and I drew her a total of 4 times previously; like a LOT of things, I’d meant to draw more of her over the years!
I really like how I’ve used a less saturated, and more subtle color scheme. I think feel her colors are way easier on the eyes. I also changed her fur pattern a bit; I think she looks far more like a tabby cat now than she ever did before.
Personality-wise, I did borrow a little bit from Rarity (MLP:FIM)! Amber is pretty AND likes finding the beauty in others!
A lot of what I had originally planned for is what I still want to do. I want to dress her up in pretty outfits! Everything from tasteful outfits to really naughty is on the table. I recall that in 2002, I really struggled with drawing clothes of any kind; I had intended Amber to give me impetus to practice drawing lots of different kinds of clothing.
