Flirtatious though she is, Caillie-Ann is developing a soft spot for a certain young guitar picker named Aaron. Aaron’s family farms the valley at the foot of Caillie’s home mountain and he belongs to a bluegrass band that plays at barn dances and church socials and the like. However, when he’s playing just for Caillie-Ann, Aaron ‘free-styles’…, letting his fingers express what he feels for the girl beside him.
I imagine this sounding like the soft and soulful side of the great guitarist W.G. ‘Snuffy’ Walden, who composed the themes for ‘Sports Night’ and ‘The West Wing’ and many other shows…., and especially like his beautiful composition ‘Love Unspoken’.*
Aaron’s bluegrass buddies probably wouldn’t understand this stuff, but Caillie-Ann does…, and it thrills her from her tips of her ears to the tip of her tail! Yep, this is the fella she’s gonna marry!
