Piaculum Destroyers, Cruisers
This is another thing from my Nahalian universe. These are corpse vessels of the Piaculum, a god-like entity that lives extradimensionally in the fabric of Nahala’s reality.

Piaculum crafts its ships by reconstituting the flesh of the billions of humans it’s consumed, or by using this method and bonding the organic mesh within the shell of another vessel it has captured, infected and consumed. For this reason, many Piaculum ships resemble ones from various human nations across Nahala, except twisted and perverted to Piaculum’s desires.

Most crafts serve some role. This could involve disrupting an enemy craft’s suspension field, acting as the literal eyes of the “fleet,” or processing captured ships into new vessels. Some others are made to ram themselves into other ships, as a means of infecting them with alien material. Still others are massive beast-hives that descend upon entire cities and consume its citizens, and uproot and digest kilometers of material.

Rarely, there exist ships even larger, which seem to process entire systems worth of human material into chitinous vein-trees that span billions of square kilometers. These produce some unknown product and then vanish, along with nearly all of the land it had infected, leaving giant pits and scars in Nahala’s surface. Humanity has yet to discover the purpose of these, yet they seem to be Piaculum’s objective.
