ENVY. Yes, it’s self-explanatory. E never seems to be satisfied with what e has, regardless of the objects’ values. You’ll never see em lounging around in a t-shirt or any other casual item of clothing. E’s the typical rich ghost, and e’s got quite a bit of a temper: e’ll hypnotize anyone to give anything e wants. E’s also focused on looking eir best at all times. Envy always wants to be at the top and can fly in a rage when e discovers that e’s not the richest or the prettiest. This usually spirals into a fight with Pride as both sins are enemies. But how did e become like this? Well, as a human, poor Envy was born penniless and longed to be recognized, day after day. E killed wealthy inhabitants, especially virtues, and then used the money for eirself. You could say that e somehow behaves like Greed, but e’s just jealous and—may I say—worse. The other sins don’t get along with eir well mainly because of eir fickleness; one second, e’ll want this—before diverting eir attention to another something. Maybe e wants the whole world.
Summoners will often find themselves getting very persuasive yet cranky when they don’t have the things they want. Methods are often dangerous, from bullying to yelling out death threats. “Otherwise” is the word they’ll commonly use to coerce others to give up possessions, give “advice,” and the like. Summoners’ eyes will also glow bright green when Envy takes control of their bodies, but the surrounding people don’t know what they’re in for. Envy is quite sneaky in getting eir way.
Envy’s emblem is a rhombic eye staring at you—the same way e’ll eye on what e wants. E loves a good shopping spree—especially those at designer stores. Although Envy’s not the type to speak up often, e’s very opinionated on classical music and e adores drifting off to the dramatic tunes of Chopin, Tchaikovsky, and Liszt. And the wilted flower on eir hat? It never dies. The petals will just fall off.
(Psst. Envy’s design looks eerily similar to cabiie’s radium (Rody/Roddy)—the concept just vibed with me and I thought this would be very fitting!)
