Copic pen and marker on Bristol. This isn’t the most obscure fan art I’ve ever done, but outside of South America, I don’t think Jose is as well know as other Disney characters, particularly as the post Bambi WWII era Disney movies were pretty forgettable though he has shown up in some more recent features.
 
The background was initially drawn to be separate from the figure - a kind of “window” effect similar to my other marker pics, just to provide a bit of atmosphere. I later decided to integrate the two, and while I like the result (I generally prefer fully integrated backgrounds), doing this after the fact has its problems as there was no way to avoid Jose’s chair from being dangerously close to the edge of the patio.
