I’m still alive! Yeeeey! :dummy: Sorry everyone for the wait. I passed yet another exam, so you can expect a bit of artwork before I disappear again.
Fast forward 500 years, and most conflicts between humans and non-humans subsided…at least in some regions. In most developed countries like modern day Laatven the few non-humans left received equal rights and much more, and they are now citizens like everyone else, but in other areas the tensions are still high.
The young Ajshar above is a member of the Mashari tribe, who still follow their semi-nomadic style after millennia, and have no intention of giving up their independence. The area where they live is rich of water and other resources, but the Mashari always opposed the construction of dams, that would threaten their lifestyle, and mining operations, leading to an escalation of violence.
This lead to lots of bombing, lots of guerrilla warfare and most of all lots of casualties.
“…the young Mashari soldier was at first very wary of us, but after we offered him some chocolate he quickly became very friendly. He eagerly accepted to be interviewed, and he was very excited at the prospect of his photo making the headlines around the world.”
