Original Artist’s Description:

This is the cover for my MLP:FIM fanfic, Flitter. It tells a story of a changeling living peacefully in Canterlot until some stupid Queen’s full-scale invasion shatters his whole life.

The changeling is based on an image from the (now defunct) Ask A Changeling tumblr
The pony is a recoloured mix of a whole lot of free vectors from DeviantArt, including this, this and this.
The background is a screenshot from the last episode of Season 2, edited to have a more visible shield at the right side.
