Neera Li as the Official 4th playable character

In case if anybdy cant read my writing:

Neera : “See you boys!”
Spade : “I’m not playable … T.T”
Torque : “At least you appeared!TT_TT”

To be Honest, I was kinda disappointed that it wasn’t spade, but was shocked and excited to see Neera to be playable XD, and that FP2 was going to have 4 playable characters in the first place o.o

and after thinking about it, I kinda came up with a few reasons why they chose Neera over Spade, from reasonable ideas, until stupid ideas.

reasonable ideas :

Ice is more explorable than cards. think about it, what else can you do with spade rather than dash and throw cards? but then again its up to the developers, because if they wanted spade to be the fourth character, im sure that they would be able to think of something. like make his card to be able to explode to stun enemies! or card smokebomb that enables him to warp to other places shortly like a ninja. walljumping (but not as good as carol). or heck, even just Meelee attacks for short ranged attacks would already make him seem more improved! XD

but then again, Ice seems to be more flexible and that you can do more stuff with it, which will give more interesting gameplay mechanic I guess.

Neera is the team Lilac’s Mentor. In FP2 it is mentioned that team Lilac will be under Neera’s training, and that Neera will help them along the way, so of course it would be interesting if Neera the new mentor and trainer of Team Lilac will be playable and that we will probably get to see the story from her point of view. Meanwhile Spade is a red scarf, he is an anti-hero, and his role is not even clear yet, so It would be confusing If you were playing as 3 heroes whose main objective is to defeat merga and bakunawa, and suddenly you play as a thief with his own objective.
Spade didnt really give a big impact at FP1 (at least, his role was kinda a bit less than Neera’s). Most people just see him as the shadow the hedgehog of the game, which a lot of people joked about (including me lol). so if spade is playable, it wouldnt attract as much attenttion as neera did anyway.

Plus, even IF Spade is playable as the 4th, people wouldnt be as surprised as much as when Neera is playable anyway, but it would be cool to see him being more mature though. And, speaking about Impact in FP1, a lot of people said that Neera was a total jerk in there, so maybe GT also chose Neera to give her more character development too?

now for the stupid Idea!

Because Neera is a girl. Like, come on, I think one of the main things that brought the audience to FP was the main trio (other than the great gameplay), who are cute girls, and whats going to bring more attenttion to FP2? more beautiful girls, and Neera does have a beautiful design sooo I bet that will bring more attention! If you go to youtube, there is a top comment on Neera’s official gameplay video, look at the 1st top one, and you’ll see what I mean. Although the 2nd one was kinda complaining about Spade not playable. plus it would be kinda funny to see Spade to be only boy with those 3 girls, I mean, back at FP1, there was Torque XD (which Im also a bit sad that he didnt even appear at FP2 lol).

(EDIT : about the youtube comments part, those two WERE top comments, but now its not, so the whole youtube comment reason thing is no longer relevant i guess ^^; )

So yeah those are my ideas, both reasonable and stupid.

but still, as much as its awesome that Neera is playable (which is very surprising and unexpected, in a good way), part of me still wished that Spade was playable instead ;u; like come one, I want to see how much he has developed too! ;o; but I think I will be asking to much if I want BOTH Neera and Spade to be playable lol XD

well, thats all I guess, and sorry if the stupid Idea part kinda makes me sound salty ^^; I hope I didn’t offend anyone with these ideas and opinions. ^^;

by the way, despite torque not appearing in FP2, Tyson Tan did still make a redesign of him, and i tried to draw the outfit and hairstyle, so i only didnt change him into a bird like the design in there ^^
