Description

Vera recently put out a call looking to draw bovines or folks who could be turned into bovines. Knowing that she’s a fellow fan of opossums, I offered up Jack. Turns out we accidentally created weapons-grade adorableness!

Jack recently picked up a work order in the maintenance system for a TF reagent processing machine. The darn thing was on the fritz again, the controller claiming to be spinning the impeller without any movement in the system, plus a loud squealing noise. Well, if there’s one thing Jack won’t tolerate on her watch, it’s misbehaving industrial machinery! Aside from the fact that machines ought to work, it gets the lab folks pretty excited when their gizmos don’t do what the operator manuals say they should.
Preferring to get her work (as well as other activities!) done at night, Jack waited for the labs to clear out and made that machine her first stop. A quick lockout/tagout at the power panel, a bit of wrenching on the chassis, and Jack was deep into the guts of the big device. It didn’t take long to locate the drive belt that had worn out and started slipping, but when she yanked it free, it came loose with a big puff of accumulated powder, dried TF reagent! Our surprised ’poss took a big breath of it, and that was all it took!
This particular machine had been responsible for preparing bovine base, the substance not targeting any particular species yet this early in the production chain, but including traits common to a lot of them. Jack didn’t get dosed with enough for a full transformation, but it was enough to hybridize some bovine features into her form. So, here we see the resulting cowpossum. Everyone, let me introduce you to Jacqueline LeMoo! She’s got a lot more work to get done, though, so if you’ll excuse her, she’s going to get back to it.
Lou is going to have an absolute fit when he finds out that not only was Jack not wearing her respirator while working on a TF reagent processor, but she didn’t even report the incident! No harm no foul, says Jack, and she has better things to do than fill out a bunch of forms for the clipboard brigade. Besides, it’s probably temporary at the exposure level of a light dusting. If not, she’s got her girl Sam over in Research who can probably help get her back to normal. Probably after a little experimentation, anyway! Scientists like that kind of thing!

You might think at first glance that this is just Jack with a cow snoot, but there’s so many fun little details all over the place! There’s the snoot, of course, but also hoofy nails, cow ears, rectangle eyes, and a cow tail. At least, those are the ones I found! Did I miss any?
