Beneath the Pit (Stream)
It’s been a little while since I did something coloured due to working on art packs, but I finally did it. In fact, if you recall the poll I did recently, then you may recognize this as the Shadow Queen from Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. Essentially, I had ten ideas for the Villain pack I wanted to do, but had initially planned for it to be something small and cheap to offset the other two. I decided that, so I could still do all of them, I would put half in the pack, and the other half goes on here as normal. All of them will be full coloured, and the ones included in the pack will feature a couple variants.

Back on topic though, I tried a couple new things with this one, primarily taking advantage of thinner lines in certain places to make smaller details more clear. Normally I use the same lines throughout with only a few exceptions, but places like her crown needed it in order to even see some of it. I also went for kind of a latex-y outfit to see if I could replicate the proper texture for it. As for Bonetail, I had to take a lot of liberties with him to adapt his original design to be less… well, paper. It’s actually been a little while since I drew something without making a base for it first, so I guess that’s an example of what my freehand stuff looks like. Noticeably wonkier, I know, but practice and whatnot. I also used his size to try and get more depth with the colour fades, which was a nightmare trying to keep track of what lines went on which layer and all that. Ultimately though, I adore how this came out.
