Description

Here’s a drawing I made last night of two dogs named Rocky and Marshall from Paw Patrol doing cute dog things in my style. I made this drawing because in Paw Patrol my favorite dogs are Marshall and Everest for some reason.

This is the trace I was drawing under.It was my old drawing in November 30 2016:
This is the original stock art from Paw Patrol:

I was trying to say that uploading traces of other artist’s work, without their permission or in defiance of their request that you not trace their work, is not permitted here. And that if you are just tracing, it is sometimes very difficult to see the anatomical errors in your own work because you’re just copying other people’s mistakes.
I don’t know the circumstances of the image you linked. If you would like me to investigate it, please send me a PM with the details, including who the original artist is, and a link to the original work if possible.

@Ciaran
Are you trying to make me believe that you forbid me to make a fanart about one or more characters based on a reference? Because I did it on November 30, 2016 using a reference on Google image and I wanted to show it to you in a clean transparent version, like here.

Very true. But when tracing someone else’s work you have to respect their rights and not trace people who have asked that their work not be traced, and if you finish a work and want to share it with others, acknowledge that original artist by giving them credit (your work is, after all, derivative).
The problem is when people trace and forget who they traced, or when they share images traced from someone who does not want or permit derivative works.
Some artists actively encourage others to trace them. Some artists actively work to avoid it.
@BigPandaSebArts
The problem in this case is that you did not see that you did not understand the image you were tracing, and drew a shoulder that comes off of the lower spine of one of your characters.
So, by tracing, you aren’t learning to look for anatomy, and need to branch out into other styles of drawing, such as drawing from life, where you can learn to see the ‘mistakes’ or odd things in images you are tracing, so you can FIX the composition instead of simply duplicating the mistake.

I think tracing for practice is ok, many artists start their first step like that,but if you want to make the trace art public you have to respect original artist.
(Sorry for bad English)

So you forbid me to trace over the works of others without crediting them
Please re-read Rule #1. Traces, and other derivative works, are considered edits here, and you should always credit the original artist whose work you edited or traced.
Always.

Very funny! I bet if you have Autism Spectrum Disorder like me, you’ll love tracing on other people’s artwork. Like for example: my artistic style on ponies comes from Aleximusprime. I used to suck at drawing ponies in my style, but I had to practice a lot on paper before using a graphics tablet to draw. Heads and expressions are fine, but the body needs a lot of work when it comes to My Little Pony ponies.
