I have always loved “The Fox and the Hound”, as it was one of the
first Disney Movies I ever saw at an age when I could appreciate it.
Even before “Lady and the Tramp” became my favorite film, I grew
up with TF&TH. The VHS I had literally wore away. (The scene with
the train actually had distortions because I rewound and watched it
so many times as a tyke.) The squeal is a guilty pleasure of mine,
and is just downright fun to enjoy. Given all of this, it was only a
matter of time before Todd and Vixie found their way into my AU.
Vixie and her mate Todd have rather
unique relationships with the railroad. As one of the premier bankers
in Atlanta, Todd is regularly traveling up and down the railroad from
his bank in Marceline to businesses in Chattanooga and Atlanta. He
met his mate when she applied for work at his bank as a secretary and
the two became instantly inseparable. They live at a homestead
alongside the railroad, known as the Tweed Farm. For her part, Vixie
can be found riding the payroll trains and mailcars, just as an added
assurance that her mate’s work arrives unscathed.
