My entry for Pokedorks Group contest 36, Pokemon…in…spaaaaaaaaaace. I haven’t entered a contest in forever, so when this one popped up, I liked the theme and decided to give it a go. x3

The pokemon I used are all members of my mystery dungeon team. You can see Bit and Mia hovering around a very disgruntled looking Steel in the back. Yeah, Steel the steelix, I’m so original. >> There’s also Kris the kirlia, Duet the doduo and Guildford the shiny paras. I can’t tell if he even looks shiny. He’s supposed to be, but then I forgot about the glass. Dx

The random fakemon are what I call Lumet, psychic/rock pokemon, that I literally made up purely for this image. I didn’t even have an idea ready for them when I started sketching.

I figured in a future where pokemon have discovered space travel they have also invented what I call “psychic helmets” that form to the shape of their heads and are more like unpop-able bubbles than glass spheres. So in one of their deep treks into space, they see a new pokemon, but the Lumet are wary. So a few members of Team Eclipse, of the Latios Guild fleet, volunteers to take out a latias cruiser for a closer look. Upon exiting their craft, the curious Lumet move closer and, realizing they are friendly poke-aliens, begin their own investigation.

There are two male lumet and two female lumet. Male have less of a pink glow around their rocks and their little head rocks are spaced further apart.
