It’s been a bit, but it feels nice to post a fic chapter again. If only I could write full-time, I’d be pumping out stories like nobody’s business. Anyway, I hope you enjoy!

Today is the big day Tag Barker races against her idol, Sam Whippet, and she’s more confident than ever that she can finally break his winning record. But when she nearly has a fatal crash on the track and is suddenly saved by a mysterious new dog, their chance-encounter will alter each others’ destinies forever.

This fic is part of a series. While this is not technically a sequel, but an alternate universe, I’d recommend also checking out the first two entries (‘Love is Funny’ and ‘Love is Lawless’), as it will give more context to the overall story. Some plot points regarding the main OC character presented in this fic might be a bit confusing otherwise.

Each chapter will have it’s own “soundtrack”; these are completely optional to listen to, but I feel that these add to the experience as much of this story was partly inspired by music. Some songs are for specific scenes, and some are just there to add to the tone of the story.
