Pumpkins

Introducing my new gal, Hazel (nicknamed Pumpkin by her close friends)! She’s a hybrid of Pygora Goat and Jacob’s Sheep, so she gets a really woolly coat but likes to keep certain areas shaved nice and smooth. :)

I made her because I wanted to make a goat character that was sort of the antithesis to Lam. Lam is a mean lady, not someone you’d likely befriend and live though, so I wanted Pumpkin here to be a nice friendly inviting lady, sweet but sexy, yet perhaps a little naive. She’s bouncy, warm-hearted, loves autumn and climbing. She enjoys gardening, growing her own herbs, fruit and veg and even dabbles in white magic and herbal remedies.
If she met you she’d probably love to take you in and feed you warm meat pies and other goodies from her garden ;p

Additionally I’d like to encourage any artists who post on twitter to show goats (and sheep) some love this month! I’m trying to start Goatober on twitter, and would love to see sketches, art or even photos of our caprine buddies. <3
Not sure if it will take off, but goats and sheep certainly deserve the love. :)
Just share your goat/sheep art on twitter with the #GoatoberArt tag and I will fave and retweet the piece. Doesn’t necessarily have to be done specifically for the month, but new stuff for it is preferred. At the end of the month I’ll do a coloured sketch for one of the submitting artists of their character as a goat or sheep :3
