More lore below for those who are interested:
In some Lupine packs a being represented by an anthropomorphic leucistic stag is worshipped as the god of the hunt. Some Lupines worship the spirit of the first Lupine as the spirit of the hunt and the white Stag god is a variation of the spirit of the hunt who is worshipped by packs in specific regions. Those who worship the Stag god, consider him not a mere spirit, but a god of the hunt and they give him blood offerings. The hunters “give back” to the Stag god after taking one of his children to appease him by offering their own blood in return. The blood offering is done as a form of blood letting and the blood is collected and left as sacrifice in a specific region in a forest that is used for sacrifice and offerings. Hunting and not giving offerings to appease the god of the hunt is believed to lead to the Stag god punishing the hunters by making them them go hungry and giving them bad luck during hunts. The hunters who worship the Stag god believe that if you do not give something back to the god of the hunt, the spirit of the hunt would make it so that the hunter is injured during hunt, thus taking their blood by force eventually.
(Yes some inspiration was drawn from Elders Scrolls)
