Lately, I’ve been pushing myself to attempt more dramatic posing and camera angles/perspectives in my works. I feel it adds another detention of realism to any portrayal. In addition, I tried some artistic ideas with this piece as well, making use of the entire page and the leaves to frame the character, establish flow, and add detention to better sell the perspective. I could have probably done a better job at the positioning of the leaves but, I think I was able to pull off what I was going for regardless. Lastly, I used a white colored pencil for the first time in this piece. While I did not get the results I originally planned for (was going to use the white pencil for highlights), it ended up as shading instead haha. I am still very happy with the results though, for it ended up giving a Silvery hue to her fur adding to the overall wintry vibe! Just one of those examples of a good mistake gathered from the results of experimentation. :)
