Well here it is Furbooru, the image edit art I’ve been working on!

My absolute favourite Pokemon song is You Can Do It (If You Really Try). It’s a deep cut from 2 B A Master, the last song on the album if memory serves. For the life of me, I have no idea why no one ever talx about it. Do people think it’s cliche? Cheesy? There’s like not even a single cover of it on YouTube. Well, I don’t play any instruments but I do make image edit art. So I made this to finally show this song some love >^-^<

It’s such a purrsonal song to me. I’ve always loved flight as a metaphor, for whatever it means to you. Achieving your goals? Defeating your demons? Feeling incredible? There is so much it’s applicable to. And it’s currently very motivational to me. I’ve had these characters for a very long time - since I was a young man in middle school. I remember I wrote an essay about them/my drawings. Back then, I wanted to make an anime. I ended the essay with “And someday, I’ll be famous all around the world!” And the teacher’s response was “For what?” I had thought it was obvious I meant my characters. I don’t know if I’ll end up claiming that prize, being successful with Dead Moon, but I sure will really try >^_^<

The Pokemon I included with the lyrics should be self-explanatory. And then, of course Umbreon. It’s hard to remember when exactly it became my favourite. It was the first Pokemon I ever used that wasn’t a starter, way back in Gold version. I knew I needed it on my team the second I saw it. I remember like, nothing from any of the Thanksgivings I’ve had with my family, except for that one. Waiting for it to get late enough to evolve my Eevee into Umbreon >^_^< However, even though I didn’t use it, Marill was my favourite for a long time as a kid because of how cute it is. I forget if Umboon replaced as a favourite during gen 2 or if it was more around 2006. I of course went with Umbreon in Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness, and it and Flygon were my MVPs as we finally cleared the 100-trainer-gauntlet that is Mt. Battle. It was definitely then, that Umby solidified itself as my fave :3

So there you have it. From incredibly dark times, to making an entire motivational poster. Things really can get better if you just hang in there and keep going ♡
