Okay so for a while I’ve been shipping Vitani and Tiifu because a friend suggested it to me, presenting it with the reason being that Tiifu is very open-minded and supportive of anyone, which is perfect for Vitani’s seemingly stoic nature and her trouble with coming out of her shell. I ended up liking the ship because it fills in for that Vitani/Kiara ship I like but it ends up not interfering with Kovu and Kiara because I love them as a ship too. Tiifu and Zuri would’ve probably been okay but I feel like Tiifu doesn’t see Zuri that way

Tiifu is perfect for Vitani in a sense that she doesn’t judge Vitani for who she is or how she does things, basically the opposite of aggressive people or people who expect too much from Vitani, since Vitani has grown up with the compulsive need to do better for people. Tiifu’s patient and forgiving natures teaches Vitani that it’s sometimes important to put her health and needs over the expectations of authority, and she also helps Vitani find and identify her feelings as she was never taught to for most of her life

Vitani is perfect for Tiifu in a sense that Vitani lets Tiifu explore life outside of conforming with the Pridelander lifestyle. Tiifu has this hidden feral weirdness about her that she never really got to let out because her friends would never agree with her on it, like her intense passion to hunt and whatnot. Vitani admires Tiifu’s interests and doesn’t see a reason why she can’t express them. She loves Vitani’s boldness and overall butch/goth aesthetic which is how Tiifu lowkey developed a crush on her in the first place lmao

They complete each other in a sense that Vitani is taught by Tiifu how to express her emotions while Tiifu is taught by Vitani how to be bold and a bit more physically tough. They provide each other with teachings that were missing in their original prides

Also this is a very like…. odd reason to add onto the list of reasons to ship them, but I noticed that neither of them seemed to show any affection towards any male characters, since Tiifu is only ever really shown being close with female characters throughout the show, and with Vitani not being a very affectionate person at all at any point of the franchise (which is not only likely due to how she was raised in Outsider culture, but is also possibly due to not yet meeting the right one)

So I headcanon they are both lesbians, due to Tiifu being close with girls and Vitani’s lowkey stereotypical raspy butch voice and pixie cut lmao
