Freedom Planet 2 art experiment of Carol

Description:  
This is one of the art experiments I did for Freedom Planet 2. Carol had the least changes in FP2, I added a bit details and that’s it, fans had almost no complain. However, Carol is the type of character that I had the least experience drawing. So experiments were done mostly to feel her expressions and gestures that reflects her personality. Stephen DiDuro provided the game’s script and recorded voice clips to help me understand the characters better. In the process, I happened to see Ziyo Ling’s original versions and understood why her last name was Tea, so I tuned her green to a deeper green-tea-like color.
 
The final version  
You may say nothing’s changed, or you may also say everything’s changed. The accumulation of subtle color change, detail tweaks and the deeper understand of the character goes a long way.
