Instead of doing normal Mermay prompts, I just decided to make a Sonic AU where mobians are half fish! @zemellow helped me a lot on it!

So, it took me like 4 days to finish drawing the main characters, but there they are! I’m not,,, super proud of how I drew Sonic but ok XD

In this world, mobians are half fish (or aquatic mammal like whale, dolphin, etc), but that’s pretty obvious. They’re called Mermobians, and Eggman is that-cliche-villain who wants to prove to the world that they are real, even if that means destroying their world. He’s also an illegal shark hunter, so the mermobian warriors like Sonic constantly have to stop him.

Silver and Blaze are not from the future on this world, they are from the deep sea.

In the mermobian culture, warriors get a tattoo on their bodies for each battle they win (yes, that’s what the darker markings on Sonic and Shadow are. Silver comes from a place where that culture doesn’t exist, so he doesn’t have any, his markings are just the bioluminescent part of his body)

Shadow was part of a genetic experiment that tried to revive the megalodon.

Chao are jellyfish.

Instead of chaos emeralds, they have chaos pearls.

Original Sonic is afraid of going into the water, so mermobian Sonic is afraid of leaving the water.
