Description

Superhero content these days seems to be obsessed with the multiverse, as can be seen in the Loki series, Spider-Man No Way Home, the terrible Flash movie, and so on. Parry the Sundog wants to be like all the cool kids, so he’s jumped onto the multiverse bandwagon and started to search for other versions of himself on parallel Earths. His first stop was the Golden Age of Comics from the 1930s-40s, and in this era Parry found another Sundog named Cyrus who wears an amulet of the Egyptian Sun god Ra. Parry got excited to finally meet another super-powered canine like himself and tried to exchange cell numbers and Twitter handles with Cyrus… forgetting that such technology didn’t exist in the 1930s. Sorry Parry, you’ll have to communicate with Cyrus using inter-dimensional telegrams. No, not the Telegram app, I mean old-school telegrams exchanged over a telegraph in Morse Code. And since these messages are being sent long distance across universes, your phone bill will probably be astronomically huge. Is Parry really willing to spend a fortune just to message Cyrus to say “want to visit my universe and play Fortnite?”
I have an alternate version of this drawing on Twitter/X where Cyrus’ world is black and white. https://twitter.com/GuineaPigDan/status/1737926542481920302
