Here’s some Christmas art I did in Drawpile! I started sketching this last week in a Drawpile session with friends, but realized I wouldn’t be able to finish it in one night. So for this week’s Drawpile, I copy and pasted my lineart and picked up from where I left off. Peter wanted to do some sort of homage to his role model Garfield, and decided to try playing a trick on a dog like how Garfield plays tricks on Odie. When Peter heard that Pepper and Chuck’s new roommate Parry had the superpower of light manipulation, Peter thought it was unbelievable and wanted to see it for himself. One night, Peter asked Parry for help putting up Christmas lights, and Parry agreed. While the two of them were busy, Peter asked Parry about his light powers and suggested what if Parry acted like a living Christmas decoration? Parry said he’d give it a try, thinking he’d be asked to do a simple task like create a ball of light that would hover over a Nativity scene like it were the Star of Bethlehem, or have his nose glow red and pretend to be Rudolph. But then Peter pulled out a bunch of duct tape and… well, you can see what happened. Parry tried to signal for help by making his arms and legs glow, hoping it would attract someone’s attention. Peter was amazed to see Parry’s light powers at work, and immediately invited Domino to come watch. When Domino expressed disapproval, Peter just giggled to himself and remembered a funny Garfield quote he thought was fitting. “Idle paws are the devil’s workshop!”
