A brief, non-comprehensive list of things Jack isn’t afraid of:
–A hard day’s work
–Getting dirty and sweaty
–Crawling around and inside industrial machinery
–Scurrying through ventilation systems
–Pipe wrenches as big as she is
–Throwing chain on a drilling rig

With a mechanically-inclined mind and a willingness to really get into the thick of things when it comes to servicing and maintaining Shift-Tec’s equipment, her days aren’t often filled with clean work. Depending on what sort of tickets she’s been investigating, Jack often ends the shift pretty well dirtied and greased up, and in great need of a shower. Fortunately, there are plenty of options around the facilities! Jack has cleaned up just about everywhere at one time or another, from the emergency showers in the labs to the washing stalls down in the fleet vehicle bay. Today, though, she’s using an honest to goodness locker room attached to the company gym. Such luxury!

It’s early in the morning at this point, with Jack having just finished her shift, so there’s only one other night owl around, and this one’s literal! A Eurasian eagle-owl from Shipping and Receiving is getting dressed, having just finished her early-morning routine. The very much unselfconscious Jack makes small talk as she strips out of her sweaty work clothes, making quite an impression on the owl. With Jack scurrying around behind the scenes late at night in all the dark, little, out-of-the-way places in the facilities, not all that many Shift-Tec employees have interacted with her. Those who do are often surprised by how much personality and Cajun accent can fit into such a small package.

Before the owl can reflect too much on it, though, Jack is out of her clothes and strolling into the showers. It’s a good thing they stock so much fur shampoo here!
