One might not expect the ever-proper Ms. Afolabi to be the sort of person to show up in a Halloween costume, but it makes sense if you give it a little bit of thought. Firstly, she’s very much a corporate team player, and if a memo goes out encouraging participation in the office costume contest, she’ll be there with bells on. Besides that, Afolabi’s sense of fashion makes her deeply invested, pretty much by default, in any activity which involves putting together an outfit. You can’t announce an event explicitly calling for extravagant clothing and not expect her to be all over it!

This year, she’s opted to come as Morticia Addams, 60s TV show version! It worked out very well, honestly. Afolabi has the right build for Morticia, and a show-accurate costume keeps all of her white body fur covered, even if only just in one part (the security of which has been enforced with a few pieces of double-sided tape).

That plunging neckline drew more than a few surprised looks at the office. Not that it’s all that revealing, especially for the Forest, but because most people would have expected Afolabi to consider the outfit positively scandalous. But hey, that’s fashion! Today, Ms. Afolabi moves with a confidence born of acting completely properly. She’s in costume for Halloween, as requested, and said costume is both on-model and covering of all the areas which she feels must remain covered. She’s beyond reproach!
