Description
In 2000 Speedo introduced their FastSkin techsuits. The suit features V shaped ridges meant to imitate the denticles of a shark, reducing drag compared to bare human skin.
It made a prominent appearance at the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games where it was worn by the majority of medalists. It was also seen during the 2004 Athens Olympic Games. But started to get faced out by its successor, the FastSkin FSII Recordbreaker.
The FastSkin came in multiple variations, such as the Fast body Skin variant that goes down to the ankles. Fast full body Skin which also includes full length sleeves, Fast knee Skin, Fast leg skin and Fast leg Skin short.
In this artwork. Ruby is shown wearing the Fast body Skin variation of the suit. The color scheme is based on the Dutch Olympic Team suit worn by Inge de Bruin during both Syndey and Athens Games
