Description

Stitch speaks Tantalog, a language made by his creator Jumba Jookiba. It’s a cross between native Hawaiian, Chinese, and Chezcreekian (a local, obscure language in rural parts of Chesterfield).
One of the standout phrases in Tantalog is “Meega, nala kweesta!” According to Stitch’s creator and voice actor Chris Sanders, it’s a vulgar phrase; he knows what it means, but he won’t say it outright. What is known is that “Meega” means “I (am)/me”, while “nala” is a vulgar verb and “kweesta” is a vulgar noun.
Nala means “luck” in Zulu, “successful” in Xhosa, and “gift” in Swahili. It’s a pretty African name, but it’s a different story in Tantalog. It’s funny how one’s name has a different meaning in different languages.
Examples: Nani’s name means “beautiful” in Hawaiian, but in Japanese it means “what”. Baka is a name used for various people, places, and even languages, but anyone familiar with Japanese would be giggling about someone being named “fool/idiot”.
Be careful what you name your kid.
The Lion King and Lilo and Stitch belong to Disney.
