Repost! I fixed Gabriel’s color pattern to something I like a whole bunch more!
My reference sheet for Gabriel, my melanistic Eastern Gray Squirrel, is done! In 2008 he was going to be an American Red Squirrel, but I love the look of black squirrels so much!
I learned that the black squirrels of Toronto became dominant because melanism is the dominant gene. Because in squirrels this also means more testosterone, the male squirrels act more dominant, too, and squirrel does love dominant bucks!
Rather than make him aggressive, I wanted to make him a protector! I gave him a beefier build, and I figure he’d make a good security guard! I still imagine him to be just as silly as he was always meant to be.
He works as a security guard at Sandi and Diana’s porn studio!
