Description

This has got to be one of my greatest MLP fan art yet(one of my hardest as well)! When ever I see a new face that catches my eye in the series, I think to myself: “Wow……., I really like his/her design; I’m gonna draw him/her!” :D And Ember here, was indeed one of those characters that caught both my eyes. :) I like her personality as well. She’s tough, smart, and has a good heart; even though she doesn’t show it very often. Other than Spike, Ember is the second dragon that I’ve drawn and since she has a completely different design; it was kinda tough to pull off since she has more of a mature appearance and has wings too. It took a little bit of time for me to get the correct colors for Ember’s scales, spikes and the underside of her wing. But, the biggest challenge was the blood stone scepter she holds! I was forced to use many different colors and not just for the scepter, but the stone itself, which included the use of a scarlet lake marker, some pencils with shades of red and a white pencil too. I also added a nice warm glow radiating from the stone as well, to make the scepter pop! :D I’m very proud of this one and I hope you like her!

“I’m not big and strong! I know. But, you know what; I won anyway. So, maybe it takes more than just being big and strong to be a good dragon lord!”

All MLP characters belong to Hasbro and Lauren Faust.
