This was a commission from my close friend canine-lupus . As always thank you for being one of my biggest supporters over these past years! :)
As is usually the case Lupus has given me another interesting commission to test and broaden my abilities with. This time with another crested gecko piece. It was an interesting challenge to design a fully anthropomorphic female Crested Gecko character apposed to the last piece I had created for him of the same species.
I am happy with how it came out in the end. I wanted the anatomy to lean towards a more feral design, so I incorporated the seemingly double joined legs which is found in many reptilian species. I’d like to think that this creature in particular would be capable of both bipedal and quadrupedal locomotion. Some lizards do have that ability and can even run on their hind legs for periods of time so such a concept is not completely far fetched. Admittedly my reptilian knowledge is still rather limited though to be able to create a completely anatomically accurate mix of human and reptilian/lizard anatomy. But, I shall continue my research with commissions for like minded people like canine-lupus. :)
Thanks again Lupus! And its our hope that everyone else enjoys this fine Gecko Lady too. :)
