I will say this, Dr. Eggman was at his Nastiest and most crazy in this game, his private island were he imprisioned the 3 heroes was by far the most evil place in the entire Sonic-verse, it makes Eggmanland seem like a little guppy.

Anyway, this is of the first stage, the Volcanic Vault, yep, a Sonic game that doesn’t start off on some grassland, jungle or urban setting, nor does it have one. Eggman Island features a volcano, a glacier, a desert, a death tower, a mountain range, a waterway, and Eggman’s Tower itself as featured in the background of this image.
