Old Gods

Judging by the legends, they were a weird bunch. On the one hand, they took deep care of us, sometimes even to the extent of risking their own lives to save ours. On the other, they supposedly were making us fight each other for the amusement of the crowd, fueling their ambitions.
In any case, they are long gone now, if they ever existed at all. So, being our own trainers and masters, we fight for our own amusement. But who knows, maybe they are still watching us as well?
