A Peculiar Situation…
I don’t quite know where the heck this came from… it’s probable that the bizarre idea had been floating around my subconscious for a while and just, burst forth unto the page… just like that. I scare myself sometimes… no, really, I do.
Erhem I want to shout ‘I KEEL YOU!!!’ for a moment, as that’s what I get from this sketch. Looks like Sweeney is about to lay the smack down (again) on Tobias and Mrs Lovett is trying to reason with him. Actually, I don’t think Mrs Lovett was originally meant to be so sentimental and I doubt that she really would stick up for Toby, sooo… she’s probably suggesting that Todd use her rolling pin instead of the cane. Yeah.
And Toby has found a hand in his pie… hand pies are not as cool as nose pies, but still, at least they don’t run… and if the hand turns out to be Thing from the Addams Family… then that would be handy for making more pies and gets a thumbs up.
