Make a Splash
These are just some rough concepts I hashed out for this little project my love RockOpossum and I are messing with.
I figured since there’s three main types of land ponies that there should be three main types of sea ponies.
Seapony: The regular type. Like the Earth Pony. This was the first one I did, really carved the shape out I wanted with a digital painting.
Flying Seapony: The sea version of a Pegasus. I’m still playing with the wings, went with a fancy flying fish type here. Their powerful tail can launch them out of the water pretty high and then can glide around on the wind. Their turns can be pretty sharp.
Angler Seapony: The sea version of a Unicorn. The lantern would glow when performing magic.
The ones in the old movie/the toys are pretty horrifying in most angles. I went for more of a Merpony design with these and have been slowly compiling several little sketches.
