I wanted to test out this more simplified style on hot-press paper- I usually work on cold-press, which is rougher and has more tooth. It’s easier to paint on but drawing is a bit tougher and inking becomes a bit of a mess. Hot press is harder to paint on but much easier to do smooth inking on. Wanted to do a quick test paint to see if the trade off is worth it.
 
Cinnamon came up a couple of times in the last doodle I did, so she seemed like as good a character as any to do a test with. It’s definitely a bit harder to control the paint, but wasn’t too terrible, and it’s much easier to ink this stuff…
 
But yeah, just another exploratory doodle. I hope you enjoy it despite it’s basic nature. :P
