After watching Canterlot wedding again, and reading a few fanfics, i decided that i wanted to draw some changelings for a change, and maybe even create my own Changeling OC - One that’s undercover and stealing love still instead of being “Reformed” like a few other one’s i’ve seen.

I don’t have a name for her yet, if you have any idea’s, then leave them in the comments below maybe?

Anyways, some of my headcanons about Changelings

1- Changelings can feed off of love in a variety of ways, by taking the place of a pony and feeding off the love around them, earning love through mind control, or in more violent situations, Draining them with the saber like teeth - Though they tend not to do this as it makes the pony extremely hostile afterwards and angry
2- There are multiple Queens across the globe, each one controls their own hive of changelings, and each hive has different approaches for how they feed and construct their hive (Eg. More agressive queens will have a fortified hive and their subjects will raid towns for love, whereas calmer queens will be patient and tend to Earn it
3- Changelings are Genderless until they transform into a creature for the first time. after that, their original form will be that gender and they will begin to become more like it (Eg. Males will tend to be larger and stronger, whereas Females will be able to adapt to environments and seduce their food more easily). They can transform into the opposite gender though, but will tend to choose forms the same gender as they are.
4- Changelings do not hatch from eggs
5- A Changeling hive can be created from scratch if no structures are nearby, but some queens prefer to use an old isolated building, sometimes in ruin and patch it up as it already has rooms and accommodation for their subjects. Abandoned Castles tend to be the most popular
6- Changelings can feed off of other changelings, but cannot create their own love
7- Transforming into larger or smaller creatures can tire changelings out, and possibly kill them if a size difference too large occurs
8- Changelings can sustain themselves on normal food, but not for long. and when eating food as different creatures, they will taste it differently-
