I’d been considering using the saiyan girl designs for a Patreon project, one day. I didn’t want to use the DBZ world, certainly. It’s too limited and stupid. So in the process of world building from scratch, I was considering how to develop their species, and thought about making them various kinds of fox/cat/wolf type themed people, but leave the designs open enough that they aren’t obviously just “cat girls.” It also lets me use the little ears to prop up some of the hair details using the vestiges of that old Toriyama design. Shuirika continues to see the most design changes. I like her little bobtail and hair stripes. If I do another Huge Quest type open project, it’ll probably involve the girls (and other new people) in their own universe.
