I feel like everyone that calls Chikorita bad overlooks Reflect. It functions awesomely as a tank when you use Reflect, and it learns it very early. Alongside also-very-early Razor Leaf, and Body Slam for potential paralysis, it’s really not a bad mon at all. Learn to play defense and support, rather than offense, and Chikorita will shine for you :3

Don’t know what anyone would not choose Chikorita. Eventually it will evolve into a powerhouse of a tank. As shown in TFS Nuzlock, their Magnium was unkillable. Long Live Mr. Steak!
