HELET: “Halt!”
KARENA: “Helet, no need to worry, this is the reporter we’ve been expecting.”
HELET: (removes staff, but still looks cautious)
PRUDENCE: “Greetings, Your Highness. I am Prudence Foswell, from SiTV.”
KARENA: “Greetings, Ms. Foswell. Princess Karena Walsad at your service! This is Rosianda Laygin, Elder Sister of Spirit Witches.”
ROSIANDA: “Hello!”
KARENA: “Helet Sazai, Spirit Witch and my bodyguard.”
HELET: (nods)
PRUDENCE: “Pleasure to met you! I can’t help noticing it is surprisingly warm here, on the terrace. Even your staffs are blooming!”
KARENA: “Oh, Spirit Witches magical staffs are always like this. As for temperature, we created this temporary warmth just for the interview.”
PRUDENCE: “That’s so nice of you, Your Highness! Does it mean Spirit Witches can control climate and even change time of the year?”
KARENA: “We aren’t that powerfull.^^ Also Spirit Witches can never be reckless while dealing with weather, we only use our powers in extreme situations - to cease destructive storms or summon rain during drought, for example. But playing with weather is very dangerous so we always need to be careful when we interact with the forces of nature.”
PRUDENCE: “That’s very interesting! Many people outside Alefex see you mostly as semi-naked female battle mages.”
KARENA: (laughs) “Our appearance made us very popular wordlwide, I know! But were aren’t only warriors, we are also protectors of the land. We preserve nature and helps people in emergency situation. Order of Spirit Witches is focues on keeping balance between might and protection. Order of Moon Hunters is the one that is mostly dedicated to might. They are fighter and rangers. Dawn Healers on the other hand dedicate themselves to healing and protection. For example, they work hard on restoring lands after wildfires or earthquakes.”
PRUDENCE: “Moon Hunters are all-male Order, while Dawn Healers accepts both male and female foxes?”
KARENA: “That’s correct! By the way, Rosianda’s husband Brinnon is the Grand Master of Moon Hunters!”
PRUDENCE: “Oh! Such alliances are common between fox magical Orders?”
KARENA: “Well, my own fiancee Baldweyn is Dawn Healer, so it is pretty common^^ But any alliances are allowed. Brinnon’s mother is Spirit Witch Melena Winsow, while his father is priest Kayran.”
PRUDENCE: “You really don’t mind telling all this about fox ancient Orders?”
KARENA: “There is no secret information at all in what I am telling you! Actually I am always happy to tell more about fox culture.”
PRUDENCE: “True, your art patronage projects are very well known.”
KARENA: “Luckily I am not the only one here. For example, that lady - Kayra Eliza Grayhen Gardis-Volpenthelps a lot too!”
PRUDENCE: “Oh, she is my close friend!”
KARENA: “I know^^”
PRUDENCE: “But Eliza is a promoter of naturism?”
KARENA: “Yes, but nudity has always been part of fox culture, and Eliza tells a lot about tradition of partial nudity in fox society. Also she and her husband Gedvin run a publishing house and therefore help spread fox literature around the world!”
PRUDENCE: “I haven’t thought of that, but you are right, Your Highness!”
KARENA: “You are welcome!^^ I see the wind is rising why don’t we continue our interview inside our royal residence?”
