Happy New Year Everyone!! ^_
(Well New Years Eve upon posting this, eh, its close enough!).
Earlier this year I had put it upon myself to create a self portrait before the year ended. And with all the chaos of 2018 (Deaths, Hardships, Health Issues, of both myself and loved ones, the whole gambit) I found it difficult to actually get around to it, or any large art projects for that matter. But, a few weeks ago I finally got around to completing this Portrait! ^o

All being said, its a good representation of my emotional state this year, tired and worn out, but still smiling. ^_

From an Art Standpoint, this was the most extensive digital editing and enhancing of a Traditionally, Pencil Drawn Piece of art I’ve ever done and I ‘m very happy with it! Going into 2019 I’ll be experimenting more with digital fixes and enhancements, or as I would call it “Digital Augmentation” of my traditional works to better visually represent the original physical works within the digital realms, giving them a better fighting chance against the 100% Digital works of art so prevalent and popular in this day and age!

The Digital edits here were the sepia-toning, and contrast adjustments, and most notably the revival of light refraction through the use of digitally added White pen strokes.
