Vitani was laying up on a high branch of a giant baobab tree, trying to find some rest away from the hot sun. Though, it wasn’t too long before her eyes shot open at the sound of someone clawing their way up the very same tree she was in.

“BAHATI! You scared me! What are you doing here?”

“ER BRRRRT YER SRMTHRNG!!”

“Huh?”

Bahati made it up the trunk, and lifted herself to the branch Vitani was on.

Bahati leaned forward, and dropped a bouquet of flowers down in front of the lioness, blushing.

“A-Are these for m-me?” Vitani said, ear perking up as she smiled, in awe.

“Yes. Yes they are.” Bahati’s smile reached from ear to ear, nervously.

“See, there isn’t many things I find as pretty as you, but I saw these flowers over in the Eastlands, and I couldn’t help but unravel them from the ground, and bring them to you. When I saw them, I felt peace… the same kind I do when I see you, and look into your eyes…” Bahati’s ears flattened in embarrassment.

“Oh, Bahati,–” but before Vitani could finish, Bahati leaned forward swiftly, and pressed her nose against Vitani’s, kissing her passionately, to both of their own surprise. Bahati was shaky, but looking past her fear of making the first move, she was proud she could finally confess her love for the other lioness. Vitani’s face flushed, and her whole body seemed to go numb in a tingling sensation. She was absolutely shocked, but at the same time knew that it felt so right. Vitani pushed into Bahati a little more, their lips locking together.
