To this day, it’s one of the 4 types of music I still can’t listen to.
 
The first is mainstream pop. The kind of stuff the play on the kiss stations. It has no values and it’s overly-commercialized garbage made to be unintelligent and obnoxious. The second is “gangster” rap, because its values are narcissistic and psychopathic. The third is country because its values are tribal, anti-science, anti-intelectualism, and pro-religion.
 
“Emo” is the only one I never got to really form a real opinion of, especially as an adult, cause I don’t actually hear the music. I just feel awkward like I’m not supposed to listen to it, and I get this crawling feeling down my spine like someone’s gonna look down on me for even accidentally listening to it so I can’t help but just bite the bullet, tune it out, and try to get away asap. :/
 
I have PTSD, Asperger’s syndrome, and depression so I’m a nutcase basically. I know my reasoning sounds completely insane. But I mean, I am insane. So yeah… :/

I was trying to get into the “emo” kinda thing for like a week or 2 in high school. I never got to really explore it or figure it out and see if I really liked it or not, because everybody started saying my new music was weird and bad and my new haircut was weird and bad, and that it “wasn’t me” so I stopped and cut my hair back to normal. Even my mom was telling me it “wasn’t me.” Idk, I thought it looked cool and I’ve always been depressed and emotional so I figured the “emo” or whatever it is kinda thing fit me. But everyone always said no, so I just let it be and left it in the past.

I think Gerard Way is the cousin of that big podcast guy on YouTube. The bald one who thought Bernie Sanders was probably the best option running for president, and then the media tried to use that against Bernie by saying he attracts bad people and then everybody was debating about whether or not the podcast guy was a good person. Yeah, I can’t remember his name but I think I just heard Gerard Way was in the news a couple days ago cause it came out he’s related to that guy.
