“Here’s another anthro OC couple my from line of recent fitness-related ones.
I’ve been meaning to try and come up with some non-mammal anthros after seeing a lot of kemonomimi-style sharks lately, and deciding I wanted to try and find my own “formula” without hair or ears.

These two guys are called Tugg and Maki, but unlike the other four from the series, they are lifeguards and not martial arts athletes. (And who wouldn’t want to see a shark approaching while drowning?)
Tugg’s actual name is Tucker, but his partner Makani likes to tease him by saying he’s built like a tug boat. He calls her Maki back because she’s “a snack”. The nicknames stuck.”
