Been trying to make characters look like animation cels in a way I’m satisfied. Eventually I will do this with backgrounds.

Bit about Roddy as I don’t think I’ve really talked about him much outside the Creatures community and even then it’s been pretty nil:
Roddy is the Navigator, the last one died (medical reasons) before they could finish mentoring him which is why Roddy scrambles to learn the trade and always has his office filled with sprawled out books, journals, and notes literally in every free space and crevice. Much of what gets him in trouble is bc he’s learning first hand experience the hard way. No training wheels. There’s a lack of mentors and craftsmanship is being learned from ground zero because of not one, but three genocide attempts on the Shee. Roddy doesn’t really understand, he was born into the days of a dying Ark so this is his normal. His risk taking attitude is insensitive to the populace still healing both physically and emotionally. Roddy was taught his whole life the Ark’s goal, a scientific vessel built for long distance exploration and that’s exactly what he tries to upkeep. Not understanding they aren’t cut out for that right now during recovery even if he does believe exploration and trading with aliens will fix their ship faster.

There’s much more about Roddy, but they will be better suited on other pieces that sort of show what I’m talking about so I will keep the rest for then.
