I was really surprised when Poland reached the Quarter Finals of EURO 2016 in France.
It was the furthest they have gone in the competition ever since they qualified for the first time in 2008 when the tournament was in Austria and Switzerland.
Both in 2008 and 2012 (Poland and Ukraine hosted in this year), Poland has finished in 14th place. It wasn’t until 2016 when they have gone farthest, losing to tournament winners Portugal.

I know I am a little late because it is 2017 now but that doesn’t mean I can’t be proud! I remember watching the games and hoping for the best.
For the World Cup 2018, I have high hopes that the current squad will be able to qualify and compete. We will see!
