The only cases where there can be no source and no "source needed" tag at the same time is if you are the artist and you are uploading it to Furbooru only (see: "[furbooru exclusive":](/tags/furbooru+exclusive) ) or if it's a meme where finding original source is not possible.


 
In every other case there should be a soure provided as per "[Site Rule #2":](/pages/rules#2):
