Henriette Volpent-Melleyse - charming mother of Gedvin Volpent, mother-in-law of Eliza Gardis-Volpent, wife of Gunter Volpent and fox grandmother of Cedric and Rianna Volpents.

Unlike most of my other fox characters Henriette is not native of Alefex Kingdom. She was born on Listar Archipelago, south of Alefex. Young vixen has always had good talent at dancing and when Listar was occupied by powerful Pharadian Imperium, she was turned into bellydancer on the ship of Cpt. Jackar (who was a jackal by species). Later she was rescued by Cpt. Gunter Volpent.

Gunter has always been a great womanizer (or “vixenizer”) and Henriette could become just his another one-day lover. Yet their relationship transformed into something much more serious. Some say it was because Henriette was so passionate that she became the first woman who managed to exhaust him in bed. Or maybe he really fell for her as a lady he wanted to be with. Some say it was also due to… Henriette’s certain health issues. It was hard for her to get pregnant, and Gunter saw it as a personal challenge for his manhood.

Anyway, Gunter and Henriette married in the end, and desptite problems Henriette gave birth to a healthy fox boy named Gedvin.

As a person - Henriette is a feisty, hot-tempered, passionate lady with a big fiery heart, who has always adored her little Geddie. She is easily offended but also easily appeased. Aside from being an excellent dancer, Henriette is an educated person and a big art lover. She especially adores theater. This vixen knows much about theater history, different drama schools etc and loves visiting theater performances in Linegor (town where she and Gunter live). She also loves to play theater with her Cedric and Rianna! While she was unable to have many children, Henriette was very happy that Gedvin and Eliza had many kids (first twins and even more on the way!).

Also Henriette is bi… bilingual I mean! People of Alefex, Tangrion and other nearby countries speak Kaorian language (which has different local dialects). Many-many centuries ago these lands were controlled by vast elven Kaorian Empire, whose language influenced locals. Pharadian Imperium territory wasn’t controlled by elves though and developed its own language which spread over many conquered lands later. (This isn’t the only languages in this world of course). So Henriette talks both Kaorian in Pharadian. Since she lives in Alefex now she mostly uses Kaorian in everyday life but can use some Pharadian words on occassion. Not being an Alefex native she still has slight charming southern accent (which drives her husband mad in a good way. If you know what I mean…)

Also yes, she tamed Gunter in the end, so that he quited his vixenizer habits. XD

P.S. While making up Herniette I have imagined her a bit “Spanish”, while Gunter is more “Irish/Scottish”:). So in a way you can see Gedvin as “Celtic/Spanish”:) Or maybe even “Celtiberian”?:giggle:
