The Maintenance department of Shift-Tec enjoys a fair bit of operational freedom. With their excellent ticket resolution statistics and the department’s high concentration of nocturnal types, the general impression around the offices is that you can just file a maintenance ticket for whatever ails you, and everything will be magically fixed overnight. Their performance is so good that even Ms. Afolabi, in her capacity as facility manager, is reluctant to look too closely at their internal processes.

As a result of this effective independence, the Maintenance department’s morale is very high, and they have a bit of a secret club atmosphere. As far as they’re concerned, they keep the business going, more or less have the run of the place at night, and get things done their way, so it’s only reasonable that they all get to have some fun doing it!

With the year drawing to a close, they’ve decided to put together a pinup calendar for next year! Everyone featured in it will be from Maintenance, and they’re going to print up just enough copies so that everyone in the department will get one, but it’s not getting distributed outside the crew. Selection was done with a blind draw from anybody who wanted to participate, and it just so happened that after putting her name in, Jack was drawn for April. Lou ended up getting August, and Jack can’t wait to see how his turns out!

Here, late into the night shift, we find Jack posing for the pinup calendar photo. She’s selected one of the Network Operations department’s server rooms as her setting and, bathed in the green glow of the computer people’s equipment, she’s having a grand old time! The others are going to have to work pretty hard to beat her submission to the project, I think.

I’m absolutely thrilled with this piece! Tazara has created such an incredibly good take on Jack, and I love it to pieces. This one is sooo good, you guys, and I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do! <3
