Not sure I really gained any new skills while doing this piece. I did try some shading, but I don’t know as I learned much in the process (except for some things that don’t work :P). Basically, I just tried to put to use everything I’ve practiced on the previous prompts. Overall, I’m happy with how it came out. After the trouble I had with the perspective on prompts 1 and 3, I thought I was nuts to try this angle. But I carefully visualized what I wanted and used the broad strokes technique from 2 to get a vague idea and worked from there.
 
I still had some trouble trying to get the area under her chin to look right, and without more (and proper) shading, the foreshortening still looks a little flat to me. But again, I’m happy with how it turned out in general, and the whole process of sketching and converting to vector line art was much faster this time around now that I have a clue what I’m doing.
